Ways to Help

Every donation is sincerely appreciated by not only The Klippel-Trenaunay Foundation officers but also by the many children, adults and families that are affected by K-T Syndrome. All donations will directly benefit patients in one of two ways:

1. 75% of our funds are designated to support research of KTS.

2. 25% of the funds are allocated to offer patients travel assistance should there be a need. Considering the rarity of KTS, only a few hospitals/clinics treat such patients. The two major hospitals/clinics are Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. With airfare, motel, meals and other travel related expenses; costs of such visits can create a heavy financial burden on these patients and families. Most of these expenses are not covered by insurance plans.

Volunteering
Our Board of Directors and officers volunteer their time and efforts. You can play an equally important role by choosing to volunteer your time. The plans for our volunteers are simple and would require very little of your time. Gifts of Securities

Gifts of securities provide a great opportunity to help support the Klippel-Trenaunay Foundation while providing you with a tax deduction for the current, full market value of the securities. There are three types of securities that you may donate to the foundation: bonds, mutual fund shares and publicly traded stock in a corporation. The K-T Foundation retains the right to immediately liquidate such securities upon transfer or hold these securities in its account for future use. If you would like to donate a gift of securities or need more information concerning the transfer of securities for the K-T Foundation, please call Mr. Russell Mansfield, Vice President of Investments with A.G.
